Established in Shanghai in 2008, content is a contemporary apparel fashion brand created by its Founder and Creative Director Liao XiaoLing. Within the first 5 years from inception, content was immediately recognized as one of the top designer brands in China. content uniquely treated fashion shows as a platform to blend all mediums of art into an immersive experience for all senses, and appeared in some of the best shows during Shanghai Fashion Week. In the last few years, Ling and the content team created many series that catered to its core consumers, including artist collaborations and diverse themes seasonally. Currently, content has a design showroom and 3 flagship stores in Shanghai, and its products can also be found in many multi-brand retailers all over the country.

The founder/creative director Ling originally began her career pursuing architecture. After 14 years, she wanted to expand her medium to express her artworks, and decided to transition into the fashion world. Ling named her brand content, to represent a container for creating different types of art (e.g. architecture, film, music and social commentary) as well as fitting onto a multitude bodies.

In 2021, Ling relocated from Shanghai to Los Angeles. She hopes she can work with local designers to create another collection of subcultures and designs. content is a collection of eras and cultures displaying the contents of our time.
